They put out interesting and informative videos. Good on them !
They really do Ron. Ryan and his production partner have done a great service to Fortnine. Cool to see local attractions around North, and East Van, their base, as well as runs to Ashcroft, Spences Bridge, etc in their videos.

Ask Roy or Stan. They’ve both done the conversation.

I used high grade silicon sealant which was supposed to bond to metal better than regular stuff. That tape looks great and would be less time consuming.
No matter what you use, the key to success is PREPARATION. the rims must be as clean and free of any oils, grease or even dirty thoughts in order for the product to bond properly.
The rim beads must also be free of rust etc so that air wont leak past the tire.
I siliconed the front and rear rims on my Indian about 5 or 6 years ago and i only have to add a pound or two of air each spring.

I siliconed the front and rear rims on my Indian about 5 or 6 years ago and i only have to add a pound or two of air each spring.
As Stan says the rim must be clean. I used a wire brush then wiped it with Acetone
I tried several brands of Silicone that didn't bond well to the metal then lucked into GE 100% in a small squeeze tube, one tube is enough to so two rims
The last bike I did I wanted to get away from Silicone so I used a marine sealant Sikaflex 291.
The Sikaflex would do the job by itself but I applied a layer of crystal clear Gorilla tape as extra mechanical protection.
One item that takes some finding is the valve, you need a threaded valve with some form of seal where it goes through the rim.
Its also possible to use what's known as a tank valve, these normally have a 1/4" NPT thread that can be tapped into the rim, I have only seen these in unplated brass

They should set up a few beds in the buses, I would pay a nominal fee to stay there...
At least I think I would pay.....CRS keeps kicking in..
