Ahhhh, my wet-dream vacation destination, TT week (or Manx GP Races) on the isle of Man. Open race days on the Mountain Course so many motorcycles of such a variety it puts things like Daytona or Sturgis on par with tiddly-wink competitions (in my humble opinion, and I don't care about any others thanks). Need to do it soon.

Would be nice to take a month off and hit up the TT and NW200.  Two weeks at either should do it for a lifetime memory.

Yep, something like the NW200 would be nice too. A buddy of mine a few years ago took a trip to the TT then on to the Irish Tourist Trials for a week of town to town following the competition (more like pub to pub it sounded like) then took off for the ISDT in Scotland. Now that is my kind of passion.

Hold on there fellas!!!  It has always tickled my fancy to attend the TT in June on the Isle of Man.  Over the past couple of years my wife and I have mentioned it in our discussions a little more often so it just might become reality sometime down the road.  Who knows?!?

Suffice it to say, that I as well, would like to make it to the Isle of Man sometime between now and when my number comes up.  As Cuff says............one would have a lifetime of memories after such a visit.

It takes big big big brass balls to ride the TT.  Here take a look.........

guys,
          for classic bike guys like on this forum, the Manx  Grand Prix would probably be favourite, they have "classic" races for the older bikes and lots of different events based around  the older bikes. plenty to see and do for the fortnight. I raced there in 1970 and 1971 when they used to get more entries than they could cope with (they restricted them to 120 per class then) now, due to the horrendous cost involved they struggle to get 50 entries per class. A sign of the times I'm afraid, but still a great weeks racing, preceded by the weeks practice of course.  I well remember the "joy" of starting practice on the circuit at 06.00 in the morning and listening to them telling to watch out for rain and mist on the mountain. Great fun !!
                                                                                The TT is based around more modern bikes and due to the dates (June) is busier, due to the holiday aspect. The North West is also a good weekend (I go there every year) and the races are all on the one day (Saturday) so you do not need to use up your holiday allowances to visit, a long weekend suffices, and you are made very welcome by the Irish.
                                                                                               If any of you are seriously thinking about going let me know and if  i can help you in any way I will.
