My inquiry is a general questionnaire specifically to motorcycle pants. I'm blessed with very good gear to use. But all of my riding pants are over the top heavy duty for short rides around town. I've seen some club members wearing capable and, importantly easy to use pants, when not riding. Kurt and Ross I've noticed have capable riding pants recently. All of my pants are bulky, clunky to walk in, and I want something better than regular jeans. I've even considered Carhartt heavy duty cargo pants.

In Dog Beers I've only had one.

I have a pair of Bullitt jeans-looking riding pants.   A bit heavy weight-wise, but comfortable for walking around, and not too hot, even in the Smokenanagan.   Warm enough in late fall, just below zero rides, I've noticed, too.

My new pants are definitely much more bulky and clunky than jeans.  Quite heavy material.  I bought them more because, for everyday riding, I didn’t like the mesh over top of jeans that I’ve been using for years.  I think my new pants will be hot in hot weather, but they do have vent zips, so we’ll see.

As well as the usual Riding pants, with built in armour, I picked up a set of BULL-IT riding JEANS with a Kevlar liner.  A bit warmer than regular jeans but also a lot safer, although NO build in armour. On longer trips I normally take along several different riding pants as space permits.

I have been wearing a pair of pants from Winx. They have very limited armour at knees and hips. All can be easily removed when off the bike. Very comfortable, but how much protection they will give is something I am not planning to find out.

Thanks guys!  I'll check them all out.  What make is yours Ross?
I'm afraid I'm in the size category where manufactures don't even bother making the size I need. My sister often gives me the thumbs up to check out Winners for fantastic prices, only to find out not 1 item in the entire store fits me.

This is what I wear.  Won't help much in a slide, but it keeps the bad Ass bikers away.

Actually, I think it might just attract them.

When you sell your Ascot’s, are these required riding attire? I guess I should ask Ryan @fortnine.
