Title: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Galactica on October 31, 2024, 01:28:10 PM RCMP busted the biggest most sophisticated drug lab in Canadian history.
95 MILLION lethal doses o fentanyl. 15 tons is precursor chemicals. Hundreds of guns. Meth, cocaine, $500,000 in cash. And much more. Enough fentanyl alone to kill everyone in Canada more than twice over. ~$500 MILLION worth. And only one arrest. Asian by the sound of it. A Mexican cartel operation. Notably, the Mexican authorities were not involved. Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Steve G. on October 31, 2024, 02:25:57 PM Our family used to do fishing holidays on Falkland Lake,,,,40 yrs ago. 2024, I’m Not surprised there’s that kind of thing happening up There. Quite a few knuckle dragged around there. As for Mexican cartel Action happening , of course that’s happening. Depending on the determination of next weeks U.S. election, there could be a giant wall of 7-14 million illegals walking across the fields of Lynden/Aldergrove, Abby/Sumas to avoid being sent back south. I Like tacos and burritos. Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Twisted_Twin on October 31, 2024, 04:39:59 PM Glad to see the "All the drugs, all the time" plan is working so well.
Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Wheels on October 31, 2024, 05:29:38 PM Henry, looks like you have more than just a rodeo in your town there!
Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: hardrockminer on October 31, 2024, 07:30:24 PM I think the the former owner of the Ranch was busted and did jail time.
Back in 2018 we were looking for a home and checked out a large place in town that was busted because it was a grow op. Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Steve G. on October 31, 2024, 09:52:04 PM I''m sorry, Pinaus Lake.
Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: kaw74 on November 01, 2024, 08:50:59 AM I''m sorry, Pinaus Lake. That's a nice lake but the government condemned the resort some years ago because of unstable ground.Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Steve G. on November 01, 2024, 09:18:02 AM Strong words,,,,,,people who voted this direction, are the cause. We simply cannot continue down this path. Law and order! Capital punishment! Involuntary internment of drug addicted persons. Strong Borders! Elimination of foreign aid! Legal immigration to the benefit of Canada, NOT the benefit of foreign migrants. We need to circle the wagons and look after our own. This country is running out of time. Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Runningdog on November 01, 2024, 11:30:25 AM Don't just talk about the problems, get involved, run for an elected position, even if it is locally. Work from within.
Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Steve G. on November 01, 2024, 02:44:02 PM I do.
Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: kilowop on November 01, 2024, 04:05:35 PM I have voted in every municipal, Provincial, and Federal Election since I became eligible. I missed a Provincial one in Alberta as I hadn't been there long enough to qualify as a resident. I agree, get involved in some capacity. You can make a difference.
Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: kaw74 on November 01, 2024, 05:03:55 PM I was involved with the upper Glenrosa committee years ago to get water up there when Finlater was the mayor and he told us that's why he didn't move up there because of no water so deal with it. Yes he told us to deal with it .He also put our property's as future development and our taxes went from $2000 to $8000 and still no water. He was a prick.
Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Kiwi_Roy on November 01, 2024, 11:26:03 PM Its a nice little town, I camped at the lake couple of times
I hope the drug dealer gets some serious time along with his co-horts Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: hardrockminer on November 02, 2024, 04:38:44 AM I think the closeness of the recent vote in some BC ridings is a clear indication of how important our vote can be.

Post by: Twisted_Twin on November 02, 2024, 05:15:44 AM I think the closeness of the recent vote in some BC ridings is a clear indication of how important our vote can be. It won't be a clear indication for any of the politicians involved as to how the people are feeling. It will be more "business as usual". Good luck B.C. Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Businesses and investors are packing up and leaving as we speak. Illegal drug dens are the only growing market. Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! It won't be a clear indication for any of the politicians involved as to how the people are feeling. It will be more "business as usual". Good luck B.C. I wasn't referring to the numbers in the legislature. I was speaking about how close the vote was in some of the ridings, like Kelowna Center where 38 votes separate the top two candidates. That number is subject to a recount that could go either way. There are several other similar results. As for business packing up and leaving....why did BC have the second best GDP increase of all provinces in 2023? https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/daily-quotidien/240501/dq240501a-eng.htm Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Steve G. on November 02, 2024, 05:31:20 PM I see it tied for 3rd but hey, I’m hoping the slight majority doesn’t make them gravitate towards the 2 Green mla’s, and follow their platform, it won’t end well. Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Galactica on November 02, 2024, 06:47:31 PM It wasn’t my intent when I posted this, that it should turn into a political discussion. Might be wise to skirt that. I just thought it was of interest, considering the proximity to our members.
Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Steve G. on November 02, 2024, 07:21:15 PM Don’t apologize Ross. Facts need to be realized. Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Galactica on November 02, 2024, 07:32:46 PM Not apologizing. Just concerned that political rhetoric with a keyboard can so easily down unintended paths. It’s too easy to use a wrong turn of phrase and too easy to misinterpret.
Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Steve G. on November 02, 2024, 07:57:17 PM I hear ya. All good.

Anyone know anything about oil? Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: kilowop on November 02, 2024, 08:15:00 PM OIL? Good in an engine. NOT good on the road surface, especially for Motorcycles.
Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Steve G. on November 02, 2024, 09:10:51 PM Oil thread??? Heck, we'll be fist fighting outside Timmies tomorrow!! Actually, I drink 2 ounces of oil every day. Trader Joe's first press olive oil. Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: hardrockminer on November 03, 2024, 05:23:14 AM Second, not tied for third.
If I was the green leader I would be trying to leverage my influence over the NDP. In that regard....I don't see another election in our future until the NDP are sure they have the votes. Too bad the former liberals decided to run...none of them made it as independents. A look at the political map of BC pretty much says it all. The Conservative from my riding looks to be a good guy...Ward Stamer, former mayor of Barriere and a long time small business guy. Title: Re: Falkland is on the map! Post by: Galactica on November 03, 2024, 06:28:07 AM That’s better.
