Title: Pillion foot pegs needed
Post by: Galactica on July 08, 2024, 09:43:43 AM
Hey guys,

So, I’m planning on heading out to Saskatoon in 2-3 weeks on my Tracer900.  I have it decked out pretty well for long tours.  What I’m needing though, is some Harley pegs out front so I can shift my leg/foot position.  I think I know where to mount them on the front part of the engine guards.  I’d like to have them fold up when not in use.  To that end, I’d like to use some pillion foot pegs.  Does anyone around here have some to spare?  I’d really appreciate it.   Tomorrow when Bent Bike is open, I may head out there to see what, if anything, they have.  Worse comes to worst, I’ll rob the ones from my CB750 and make them work somehow.

Cheers,
Ross

Ya, maybe.  But I’m thinking something a little less glam.  But thanks Dave.

If I decide on some old school/vintage pegs I’ll have to engineer some mounting brackets.  Which is probably my preference.

I know you tend to be on the ‘thrifty’ side Ross. A worn out broom stick and some 200 mph tape would do you proud!! Impress the locals in Saskatchewan enough to buy you a round!!   Two!!!

Looks like I won’t be doing any trips this year.  Won’t be needing the Hardly pegs.  In fact I’ll be cancelling the insurance on the Tracer900.  I’m scheduled for shoulder surgery August 1st.  They had a cancellation.  I could have waited until my place on the list came up, but I want to get it done.  Hopefully there’s always next year for motorcycle trips.

Geez Ross!!!!  Good, but also bad.

I’m in the same position, 3 bike rallies I had to cancel this riding season on orders from neurosurgeon. He’s the boss, got to follow his direction.

I hope the surgery goes well Ross.

Ross,  hoping everything goes well and fairly routine.   Waiting in line for medical services can be a long very frustrating situation not to mention the pain and suffering beforehand.

See you soon bike or no bike.
