Woke up this morning to thermometer outside my kitchen window showing minus 26 at 7am. With the wind chill, it's more like minus 35 or so. Not much snow for insulation.  All I've had at my place is about 4-5 inches. Unusual weather for recent years. More like the winters back in '66/67 when I first lived here.
Rumour has it that all the Brass Monkeys in the area have taken a charter flight to Mexico.
Time to break out the fur lined underwear.

It gets cold in Canada in the winter.

For some reason, Canadians are really good at forgetting that.

Look at the Lower Mainland. Everyone forgets that it snows. Every damn year... The cities never budget enough for snow removal, never mind that every year I lived there, we had snow in winter.
