Title: 1976 Kawasaki 900
Post by: Steve G. on December 21, 2023, 11:04:08 PM

A very interesting machine pointed out during the conversation on the ‘74 H2.  Observing it, it appears to have been artistically modified to cafe trim, with resultant higher cost . In other words it’s been destroyed. IMO actual value, $1200. No registration papers,,,   $800.

Ya, that bike is ruined.  “Custom” doesn’t mean valuable.  Ya, even $1200 is a big stretch.  Really it’s a parts bike.  I got my mostly complete, original ‘75 CB750 with registration for $1100.

Kawasaki seats always felt like 3/4" plywood!  Looks like someone got into something they couldn't finish.  You know the story...lost interest....too many bikes and no time.  Yeah, right!

I don't think it's ruined, but also not worth $5k.  Hard to tell much from those S#*tty photos but the frame looks untouched.  That would be my main concern.  He's done a few things, but nothing permanent.  I would pay $2k for it but he wouldn't go for that unless he was hard up.
