Title: Triumph TSX Post by: Wheels on December 12, 2023, 07:52:55 PM Okay thought I would update a few pictures on our progress with Junes TSX Have been doing mostly cosmetics and cleaning up. Will have to rebuild both brake calipers and the corresponding master cylinders. May end up replacing the clutch so it does not stick as this will lead to a problem shifting and locating neutral. Engine does start and I did not do a compression check yet. I have been given many tips on vendors that can get us replacement parts. We have the side covers here so all of the body work is here although will have to repaint them all at some point ( next year ) Hope to have it on the road by spring time and can continue its progress as we go along.

Title: Re: Triumph TSX Post by: Hobbs on December 13, 2023, 01:42:29 PM Looking really good John; just a thought re replacing the master cylinder, the 13mm conversion from LP Wiliams should significantly improve the brake’s stopping power and I have found that the Ferodo Platinum pads work better than the stock ones. Of course, opinions might vary………...

Glad to see you working on bikes again too. Title: Re: Triumph TSX Post by: Wheels on December 13, 2023, 07:24:51 PM Thanks for the comments guys. Peter we will look into your suggestion and with June being the primary rider it will need good stopping, shifting and of course starting as she often takes off on her own rides.
Shawn good to hear from you out in the Prairies, I am starting to enjoy working on the bikes again and it has always been good therapy for me and June is assisting on this bike and seems to be very good at handling my frustrations from time to time in the garage. |
