Title: Mecam Vintsge Bike Auction 2023 Post by: Steve G. on January 21, 2023, 08:05:31 AM https://www.mecum.com/auctions/las-vegas-motorcycle-2023/lots/featured/
If you can’t make it to Vegas January 24-28, it will be live-streamed the entire auction. I’ve been to the auction 3 times. It’s a true spectacle! Title: Re: Mecam Vintsge Bike Auction 2023 Post by: fffCycles on January 21, 2023, 08:20:34 AM I was hoping to make it this year but Joe has decided no and it is not that much fun alone. I have to go in 23-25th for treatment/tests so would be late getting there in any case. Maybe I will see if they have a summer event this year?
At least I can watch live to see what goes by… not the same though. Frank Title: Re: Mecam Vintsge Bike Auction 2023 Post by: Steve G. on January 26, 2023, 06:13:30 PM Mecam auction is on Fire!!
$50k US plus buyers premium for a ‘73 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jlQSww204Y0&mibextid=Zxz2cZ Title: Re: Mecam Vintsge Bike Auction 2023 Post by: hardrockminer on January 26, 2023, 07:10:39 PM It sold for $55k USD. That's gotta be a record for a mid number machine. A 75 went for $22k and it was not proper spec. A 74 and another 75 went for $27.5k.

Title: Re: Mecam Vintsge Bike Auction 2023 Post by: fffCycles on January 27, 2023, 09:05:56 AM I thought the Italian tiddlers are selling at a pretty good price and a few BSA’s went by yesterday making some good money. There were some everyday bikes going by at very reasonable prices and a few BMW as well. Do wish I had gone

Cheez, maybe I'll get the money back on what I spent on my CB. AHAHAHA!!! I did a sort on Honda CB750's and there were 5 sold, all around $8k to $10k. I was surprised. One was a 1970. Title: Re: Mecam Vintsge Bike Auction 2023 Post by: Runningdog on January 28, 2023, 07:51:02 AM Oh, I did ok on the CB750 when I released it from the herd, but the CB350 was more a resurrection that a restoration, so more bucks went into it than any other bike I've had.

Title: Re: Mecam Vintsge Bike Auction 2023 Post by: fffCycles on January 29, 2023, 12:40:48 PM Seems to have been an ongoing case of flavour of the month/year with steady prices for HD, Triumph (but not T150’s), off road was steady too but few wild prices and some nice modern bikes for good prices. I would have done well with some of my 2 strokes and Norton’s are reliable moneymakers.
The Harley Scat models (animal crap??) were going like hotcakes right around $6k, I had never noticed there were so many versions of the War-Repair DKW copies.
