Title: Re: ItchyBoots has arrived Post by: Hawkeye on September 05, 2022, 08:08:09 PM Last I saw, she was considering taking the Cassiar highway because it was shorter. I got the impression from her monologue that she didn't really expect much civilization up here. Probably got the real truth from 'Mericans.
Title: Re: ItchyBoots has arrived Post by: Kiwi_Roy on September 15, 2022, 03:48:51 PM She spent the night near Burns Lake so I think she must be heading up highway 37 via Stewart and Hyder, country I am familiar with
Title: Re: ItchyBoots has arrived Post by: Kiwi_Roy on October 04, 2022, 11:42:05 AM Interesting visit to Stewart and Hyder
I know that area quite well, one of the heaviest snowfalls in BC the horses wore snow shoes She even took the time to get hyderised chugging down a glass of 150 proof alcohol Title: Re: ItchyBoots has arrived Post by: Steve G. on October 04, 2022, 01:25:15 PM My enjoyment of watching this lady’s travel to Alaska, has hit a sour note for me almost
Immediately the day she entered BC. I’m having to check myself at least 3-4 times per episode to prevent ‘self guilt’ as she extols near elimination of First Nations at the hands of evil Europeans. Then I see $100,000 - 200,000 worth of new vehicles in every driveway in the towns she is riding through, and compare to the beater in my driveway, and end up turning the episode off and moving on. Heck, I wasn’t here 150 years ago, nor were my parents, grandparents, great grandparents, great great grandparents. Why didn’t we hear this theme of colonialism during her travels through Central America where true slavery, mass murder indeed is well documented? Sorry, she lost a regular follower. Head back to Europe any time girl! Title: Re: ItchyBoots has arrived Post by: stanfromhell on October 05, 2022, 09:19:59 AM The problem is not her, it's with us for managing things poorly for a hundred years or more, then throwing money and land their way whenever they find some thing new to whine about.
She is simply repeating what she has been told. Title: Re: ItchyBoots has arrived Post by: hardrockminer on October 05, 2022, 08:09:19 PM It's probably the video of her visit to the Nisgaa. They are one of the few groups to have a modern treaty.
Title: Re: ItchyBoots has arrived Post by: Steve G. on November 03, 2022, 04:59:35 PM I'm now estimating Itchy Boots as having 3 - 3 1/2 months delay on her videos. Title: Re: ItchyBoots has arrived Post by: Kiwi_Roy on November 03, 2022, 07:15:15 PM she's still kicking around in Alaska
Title: Re: ItchyBoots has arrived Post by: Steve G. on November 03, 2022, 09:33:54 PM she's still kicking around in Alaska She’s just departed Canada the last two episodes, currently still heading north . It’s currently -11c there, and sun isn’t riding until 9:39 am. She’s king past gone to her new destination. |
