Title: Best “budget” GPS?
Post by: Galactica on June 11, 2022, 07:53:36 AM
So, my GPS is an old Garmin Nuvi.  It has some issues.  I got Roy to hardwire the power connection because it was faulty, and it’s old.  I’m toying with the idea of replacing it.  Bearing in mind that my discretionary spending is limited, what are your thoughts on the most cost effective units?

I found a Nuvi last week in a burning pile in the bush. Plugged it in and it still works. The battery even took a charge. Can't beat that price.

I'm still a big Garmin fan [versus other manufacturers]. The Garmin Zumo series is made for bikes, is waterproof, offers unlimited free software downloads with it's own WIFI, and can be found often on sale,,,,,especially at GPS City out of Calgary, with Canada Day sale, and Fathers Days sale. I've got a Zumo 390LM, don't regret it once.
